how do I use this site?
When you have logged in you will be presented with your document management screen. Here you will be able to see any files and folders that have been uploaded for you by ourselves. To navigate through the system you can click on folders to open them, and click on files to download them to your computer.
If you have been told you have the ability to upload your own files then you will see a file upload box above the file section. You can select any type of file to upload to any of your existing folders, but each file must not exceed 100 MB in size. If you have a file that is larger than 100 MB we recommend that you try using a zip application to shrink the file size.
Please note that once you have uploaded a file you cannot delete it. If you have uploaded a file in error and wish it to be removed, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or on +44(0) 1582 405 741. Please make sure you have your username and filename to hand when you contact us.
If you upload a file with the same name as another in the same folder, the system will automatically append a number to the filename, in a similar way to the standard Windows system. Your original file will not be changed in any way, this is simply done to avoid confusion over files.
Even if you have been given the ability to upload files you will not be able to create folders, these can only be created by us. If you have several files that you feel are important to group together in their own area we recommend that you use a zip application to create a zip file of them all, which we can then unzip when we download it.
From time to time during the use of the site you may stumble upon technical issues that you are unsure of how to resolve. Where possible we have tried to include helpful, reader friendly error messages to indicate what may be wrong, such as files being too big or too small, or incorrect login details.
If you are still stuck and need some further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us at email@example.com or on +44(0) 1582 405 741, making sure you have your username and details to hand.
